Evie Grace Foundation works along grassroots projects in Malawi and Kenya to prevent child trafficking by supporting children and their families to ensure they receive nutrition, education, empowerment and know their fundamental Human Rights.
What's happening at Evie Grace Foundation?
Online Store
Our Online Store will be back soon! We are continually working on fundraising products for our online store and are currently doing a stocktake of our products. We offer a vast range of handmade, fair, and sustainable products: cards, bags, jewellery, jumpers, books, and much more. As we are a small non-profit organisation, 100% of our proceeds go straight into our projects to provide food, a safe home, clothes, education, and all necessities for street children in East Africa.
A Trip to Kenya!
We are very excitedly planning a volunteer trip at the beginning of next year! The trip will include visiting the street boys home (the current centre as well as the new centre that's under construction, a rural school visit, a reusable menstrual pad distribution day, a 3 day safari to Maasai Mara and visiting lots of amazing not for profit community organisations! If you'd like to join us or want more information please reach out on our contact us page and we'll send you all the info!
Food for School Holidays!
As we approach April school holidays in Kenya, we need to ensure we have enough food to feed all the boys, three meals a day for the entire month. The boys that are sponsored to attend boarding schools also travel home for the month of April. Thanks to generous donors we were able to purchase $2700 worth of food to fill up the food store just in time for holidays!
Reusable Menstrual Pads for Girls
According to UNICEF, 2.3 billion people live without essential sanitation services globally. Many people can’t even afford food, so how can they afford to spend money on sanitary products? Period poverty and the lack of menstrual hygiene and education about menstruation and sexuality are significant issues in African countries. There are many negative taboos attached to menstruation - Evie Grace strives to break them and raises awareness of the importance of good menstrual hygiene.
Become a Child Rights Advocate
Would you like to join a powerful community of supporters advocating for the rights of children? With your help, we can protect vulnerable children from exploitation and trafficking, combat period poverty, and ensure that all children receive their right of education, a safe home, and their fundamental needs are met. We aim to offer long-term, life-changing solutions for the children we support. By donating regularly, you can help empower a child to reach it's potential.
Street Children in Malawi
Malawi is one of the top five most impoverished countries in the world. 40% of the population in Malawi is under the age of 15. Young children have to deal with a wide range of problems: dysfunctional families, HIV/AIDS, inadequate healthcare, and a lack of vocational training force an ever-growing number of children to live on the streets. We cooperated with a fantastic local videographer to insight into how street children live in Malawi. Get more info in our YouTube video!
Our Achievements
Since October 1st, 2018, when Maddi founded Evie Grace Foundation, we have achieved so much! We couldn’t have made such a remarkable impact on street children’s lives without your continuous support. We are incredibly grateful to our lovely community – so, thank you so much! Now, look at these incredible numbers! We have so much more to achieve and none of this is possible without our wonderful donors.
